Roam is a city discovery platform operated by Roam ("we", "us", "our"). We help people find activities, restaurants, bars, and venues in cities around the world by combining a curated listings database with AI-powered natural language search.

By creating an account, making a purchase, or using any part of the Roam platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use Roam.
If you are signing up on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that business to these terms.
These terms apply to all users — including free accounts, paid consumer accounts, and business accounts.
To access certain features you will need to create an account. You are responsible for:
You may only hold one account per person or business. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits is not permitted and may result in all accounts being suspended.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, are used fraudulently, or remain inactive for an extended period with no associated subscription.
Violating these restrictions may result in immediate account termination without refund.
Paid consumer plans (Explorer and Traveller) are billed on a recurring monthly or annual basis. Day Pass purchases are a one-time payment granting 24-hour full access.
Business plans (Standard and Premium) are billed monthly or annually. Enterprise pricing is agreed separately and confirmed in writing.
All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details. By providing payment information, you authorise us to charge the applicable fees to your chosen payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
We may change subscription prices from time to time. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price increase by email before it takes effect. Continued use of the platform after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price. If you do not accept the new price, you may cancel before the change applies.
Free accounts are limited to 3 searches per calendar month and a maximum of 5 results per search. These limits reset on the first day of each month. We reserve the right to adjust these limits at any time with reasonable notice.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access until then. We do not pro-rate or refund unused time on monthly subscriptions.
Annual subscriptions may be cancelled within 14 days of payment for a full refund if you have not made significant use of the paid features. After 14 days, annual subscriptions are non-refundable but will remain active until the end of the paid period.
Day Pass purchases are non-refundable once the 24-hour access period has begun.
Business subscriptions may be cancelled at any time. No refunds are issued for partial months. If a listing is suppressed due to a quality threshold breach, the subscription continues to run — contact us to discuss your situation.
If you experience a technical failure that prevents you from using the platform for an extended period caused by our systems, please contact us and we will assess your situation on a case-by-case basis.
Businesses are responsible for ensuring the information on their Roam listing — including name, description, address, opening hours, photos, and booking links — is accurate and up to date. We accept no liability for bookings, visits, or decisions made based on inaccurate listing information submitted by the business.
Listings are subject to quality review. We use Google Places ratings as one signal of quality. A listing may be suspended from appearing in search results if:
For paid business subscribers, we will contact you before suppressing a listing due to a rating drop, and will give you reasonable time to respond. We do not auto-suppress paid listings without review.
Listings must represent genuine, legally operating businesses. We do not permit listings for businesses that are permanently closed, fictitious, or that promote illegal activities. We reserve the right to remove any listing at our sole discretion.
By uploading photos or other content to your listing, you confirm you have the right to use that content and grant us a licence to display it on the Roam platform. We do not claim ownership of your content.
Roam provides information about third-party businesses and venues for informational purposes only. While we make reasonable efforts to keep listings accurate and up to date — including automated rating checks and human curation — we cannot guarantee that:
We strongly recommend checking directly with any venue before visiting, particularly for special occasions, bookings, or travel planning.
Roam uses artificial intelligence, including Claude by Anthropic, to parse natural language search queries and generate itinerary suggestions. By using these features you acknowledge that:
We are not liable for any loss, cost, or inconvenience arising from following AI-generated suggestions. The AI does not make reservations, purchase tickets, or commit to anything on your behalf.
Your use of Roam is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal information. By using Roam, you agree to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.
In summary:
All content on the Roam platform — including the design, interface, curation methodology, database structure, and original written content — is owned by or licensed to Roam. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform content without written permission.
Business listings and their content remain the intellectual property of the respective businesses. User-submitted content (such as profile information) remains yours — you grant us a licence to display it as part of operating the platform.
The Roam name and logo are our trademarks. You may not use them without our written permission.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Roam and its operators shall not be liable for:
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of Roam shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or £50, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes to our platform, legal requirements, or business practices. When we make significant changes, we will:
